Yantian Terminal Update - Shenzhen, South China | Red Arrow Logistics

The major port of Yantian in Shenzhen, South China, which handled 13 million teu last year, temporarily suspend operations following congestion and Coronavirus outbreak.  Consequently, all operations in the western area of YICT remain suspended until further notice.

  • – From 00:00 on May 25th to 23:59 on May 30th, export laden containers are not accepted to “gate in” to terminals. Pickup of import-laden containers and empty containers remain normal.
  • – From 00:00 on May 31st, the acceptance of export-laden containers will resume, but only export-loaded containers with ETA-3 (within three days of the vessel’s ETA) will be accepted.
  • – This measure will apply from May 31st to June 6th.

Presently 27 vessels are waiting for berthing at the port.

The situation impacts the cargo flow as well as cost increases. To handle the extra transports in the area, some shipments are facing additional transport costs to manage and reroute. This ultimately complicates the situation to organize transport and receiving control.

The LCL terminals are also affected by getting containers to load to and from the yard. If you have any questions about your shipments, please contact our team (see contact information below.)
