Under the lockdown that started on 14 March, public services and daily supplies are operating, however, city transportation has been suspended.
The regional container hub, Yantian International Container Terminal announced that it maintained normal operation since the escalation of local Covid-19 prevention and controls and is making great efforts to keep the supply chain running smoothly in Great Bay area, as well as the materials supply supporting Hong Kong.
However, Covid-19 outbreak cases are affecting trailer services in South China, many cities are closed due to the lockdown and people are working remotely. This lockdown has affected the routing, trade lanes, and accordingly, the transit times. Some cities are totally suspending service: Dalian, Jilin, Langfang, Tianjin, and some cities in Shanghai, Dongguan, and Shenzhen.
In addition, cities are requesting a 48-hour nucleic acid test result, which includes Peking, Zhengzhou, Xian, Chengdu, Changzhou, Yangzhou, Harbin, etc, which is adding to the difficulty of transportation.
